“If I can help somebody, cheer somebody,
with a word or a song, then my living will not be in vain.”
With 2200 members and growing, we currently have over 270 volunteers!
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and become more involved in the Club. Volunteering also helps out the Club, as many aspects are managed by its members.
All the income collected by the individual clubs within the Evergreen family and by the Evergreen Lounge food services and special events are invested back into the Club to pay for expenses and buy new equipment.
To get started, fill out a Volunteer Registration Form and submit to the Filberg Centre front counter, or in person or by email to Cathy Audia (email address below). Thank you!
If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact the Assistant Coordinator, Cathy Audia at 250.338.1000, or email email@example.com.
CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Special Events Committee
If you enjoy working as part of a team and planning fun events the Special Events Committee may be for you. The Special Event Committee is looking for new members to meet once a month to plan upcoming special events. Feel free to come chat with myself or Janet or sit in on one of our meetings to find out if this volunteer position is a fit for you.
Have a smooth talking voice that needs to be heard over a loud speaker? Bingo is looking for a new caller. Callers volunteer every 3rd Friday from 12-3:30. I’d love to hear from you if you are interested in helping out.
Distribution of Special Event Posters
Looking for a way to contribute to the club that will also help you fulfill your daily step count? We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to hand out and/or put up our special event posters around town. This position is flexible. Do you want to put 3 posters up? That would be great. Would you like to put 20 posters up? That would be great too. The posters help spread the word of our many special events.
Special Event Planners
Do you have your own idea of an event you would like to plan? Working with the support of the Assistant Coordinator and Club Coordinator, Conveners have the freedom to dream up ideas and implement them. A Convener should be organized and enjoy working with other volunteers. Ability to trouble shoot and provide leadership to other volunteers are also assets. Conveners can plan one or several events, this position is flexible.
